Second Saturday of San Mateo County
Empowerment. Clarity. Compassion.
Divorce is a difficult and confusing process emotionally, legally, and financially. We offer a compassionate and safe place for women to learn how these three dynamics interact during divorce transition.

Divorce Resources
Second Saturday offers resources designed to provide support and education to individuals going through a divorce. Our workshops cover a range of topics, including:
Legal Issues
Understanding the divorce process, child custody, and property division.
Financial Matters
Managing finances during and after divorce, including budgeting, debt management, and retirement planning.
Emotional Well-being
Coping with stress, anxiety, and grief, as well as strategies for self-care and emotional resilience.
Family Dynamics
Navigating co-parenting, maintaining healthy relationships with children, and addressing family dynamics during and after divorce.
What to Expect
Our workshops feature presentations by legal professionals, divorce financial advisors, therapists, and other experts who have divorce transition expertise. Attendees have the opportunity to ask questions, connect with others going through similar experiences, and gain valuable insights to help them navigate the divorce process with confidence.
Our professional group of presenters may work as part of your professional divorce team, and can help you refine the approach you take to divorce dispute resolution.

(Her)story
Second Saturday was created by the non-profit Women’s Institute for Financial Education (WIFE.org), the nation’s longest-running non-profit devoted to women’s financial literacy, whose co-founders Candace Bahr and Ginita Wall are true champions for women in their quest for financial knowledge. The flagship San Diego workshop, started in 1989, has helped over ten thousand women while raising nearly $400,000 for the San Diego community in the form of scholarships and educational programs.
Building on that success in San Diego, Second Saturday Divorce Workshops are now in locations around the country, including San Mateo County, helping to empower even more individuals and families.
